A Warm Reception
We all had fun at the wedding reception, especially Caleb, who really got into the dancing. He loved dancing with his my Aunts Dianita, Gloria, and Carla and even got a spin with the bride.

Farm Life
Planting walnut trees with Great Grandma Dinah
Gathering eggs from Great Aunt Gloria's hen house
The kids loved playing with the dogs
Great Uncle Ben took us for a ride in his pickup to meet the cows
Go West
The first grade performed a musical all about Western life. Caleb was pretty excited and practiced his song along with alternate versions with his own funny words for months. When the big night arrived, he got all dressed up and went with his class to await show time. Unfortunately, it was a bit past his bedtime, and when the kids started singing on stage, Caleb was still sitting down with a glassy look on his face. He finally noticed everyone was moving and stood up, but the kids all started dancing to the right and he went left. At least he looked cute!

Stinker Binker
Sierra has always loved "collecting" odds and ends from around the house. When something goes missing, we know to ask Sierra if she has taken it. I find her little stashes under the couch, in her closet, and tucked beneath stepping stools. She's even given the habit a name: binking. Sierra's favorite thing of all to bink has been the Thin Mint Girl Scout cookies. We bought one box for the whole family, and knowing what a scarcity the cookies were, Sierra binked them all over the house. When I found the very last cookie in her bathroom, she asked in a sweet little voice who was going to get to eat it. I told her that since she seemed to love them so much it was all hers.
