Madeline is at the stage where she knows her likes and dislikes, but it's often hard for us to tell exactly what she wants. This becomes apparent during mealtime, when many a dish has been hurled to the floor in anger. It's not only the food that is presented, but how it is given. She now insists in a plate and fork. Her preschool teacher never has any luck getting her to eat bananas, and today I figured out that she was giving her the fruit with the peel off, when she prefers to eat it like a little monkey with the peel on. Here she is during one of her contented eating moments.
